”Doesn’t get much better……The diving was organised to a very professional standard. Nitrox was available (though an extra charge) and 15 litre tanks also available (again extra). Every dive was preceeded by a detailed briefing and a guide was available, though you could dive with a buddy if preferred. 4 or 5 dives a day were offered. Luckily we were blessed with great weather and easy dives. Probably the best dive was a shark feed – 40/50 reef sharks + giant cod all in a feeding frenzy. The food on board was excellent – all tastes and diets catered for. The cabins were very comfy – good bunks, adequate storage and functional bathroom. On the last night we had a party – some guests were professional musicians so we had a good show….& all the crew got everyone up dancing. I was a liveaboard virgin but now a total convert.” Recommended for: Organisation of diving, the crew, comfort of boat.
”Excellent boat and staff with fantastic diving – you can’t go wrong here. This is a very well run dive operation with a fantastic pair of dive managers, Gabriel and Maria. They both really look after you and the experience level of the guiding I received was second to none. (Gabriel is both full cave and tech certified and very experienced). Gabriel the DM and boat manager went way above and beyond to make sure we got in the water at the right time and location to see everything we wanted to. Highly recommend this boat and crew, it was the best liveaboard I’ve done yet.” Recommended for: The dive guide, the condition of the boat, the food.
”Great diving trip. The diving guides worked hard to fulfill our expectations. The briefings were comprehensive and dives were well organised. The diving dhoni was spacious, comfortable and well organised. All the staff of Theia was friendly and helpfull. The food was excellent and plentifull. The cabin and bathroom was clean and comfortable. This was one of the best liveboard trip I have taken part in. ”Great vessel & crew to support an incredible experience. The Ambai was perfect for 11 nights around Raja Ampat. Comfortable boat, spacious enough with great area for lounging in the sun. Decent healthy food, awesome friendly crew. Honestly I’m sure you could pay way more for some extra little luxuries but I found the Ambai delivered on expectations and I didn’t want for anything, except maybe to upgrade the choice of whisky on offer (recommend JW Black Label or something.) Compared to the other options I feel like this was good value for money and a wonderful experience.” Recommended for: Decent healthy food, great deck space for lounging + an awesome crew!
