The diversity of life on those coral reefs is stunning, and our Indonesian divemasters’ vast knowledge of that life was the highlight of the trip. 1. Learning from the trip director and the divemasters about diving and about nature. 2. Recommended for: 1. The expertise, about wildlife and about diving, of our cruise director and the divemasters. 2. The intensity of the week, using every possible minute to see great divesites. 3. A nice mix of a few dinghy excursions and walks to see some of the amazing geology a little of the forest, and a couple of villages.

Review: Raja Ampat Aggressor II; Book: Raja Ampat Aggressor II 9.2 Superb from £328; $413; €380

A truly magical experience. Snorkelling – best we have ever seen Beaches so white/pink and the turquoise sea. The food was outstanding.” Recommended for: Snorkelling, food, all the trips.

Review: Adishree; Book: Adishree 9.2 Superb from £0; $0; €0

Wonderful trip on a smaller boat that shows its age. This was a fantastic trip with wonderful people. The crew is fantastic. The diving was great. The food was really good. They even made me a cake for my birthday. 🎂🙂 Visiting empty, remote island beaches and a village were also wonderful. I have no complaints. It was a perfect trip for me. The con of the boat is that the rooms are quite small. I was lucky to have a cabin to myself so it worked out fine, but if I had needed to share it would have been far too cramped. The lower cabins are quite dark and even smaller! That being said, if you have your own cabin it’s perfect. I loved this trip.” Recommended for: The three best things were the diving, the crew, and the comradery of the guests.

Review: Shakti; Book: Shakti 9.2 Superb from £0; $0; €0

A magical 10 day diving holiday. This was one of the most amazing diving trips. Everything underwater is stunning. nothing disappoints. Te staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. I am unable to lift a tank due to back problems. They helped me every time. They also take excellent care of the equipment after dives by rinsing and hanging our wetsuits to dry and at the end of the trip cleaning and drying our BCDs and regulators as well. The reason I gave this 4* on cabin comfort is that I prefer to have the shower cubicle separate from the toilet. You get used to it after a while but it is not ideal.” Recommended for: Stunning dives, exceptional service, comfort.

Review: MV Mermaid I; Book: MV Mermaid I 9.1 Superb from £320; $403; €371

An amazing experience. This was our second time aboard the Mermaid having previously visited Komodo in 2014. That trip was amazing and would have been hard to beat but this was just as good, if not better. Nothing is ever a chore for the wonderful crew, so friendly and helpful. The dive guides were fantastic especially our guide Ketut who really looked after us. All the dives were planned in advance and we went to the best sites. Very clear briefings and safety was always front of mind. The boat is really well maintained and stocked. Everything is organised to the finer details and is like a well oiled machine meaning you’re never left waiting. The food is incredible, the best we’ve had on a liveaboard. The Mermaid really sets the bar.” Recommended for: Diving, food, and crew.

Review: MV Mermaid II; Book: MV Mermaid II 9.1 Superb from £246; $310; €285

The boat and crew far exceeded our expectations. The liveaboard experience was excellent. Wooden boats are different than steel hull boats, and Amira performed beautifully as a dive boat. The meals had something for everyone (including peanut butter and Nutella and the seafood was outstanding. Diving and snorkeling was problem free, with easy access to great sites. As we sometimes sailed near and observed other boats, it was easy to be proud to be on Amira!Recommended for: 1) The boat, Amira, is large and very comfortable in every way. 2) The crew, both on board and in the Zodiacs, were unexceptionally helpful. 3) The other guests were pleased with their experiences.

Review: MSV Amira; Book: MSV Amira 9.1 Superb from £286; $360; €332

Rustic boat, excellent staff, fantastic diving. Superb diving. Boat staff and Dive Masters very welcoming and professional, accommodating our every query and request. Dive gear in good condition and any repairs/problems immediately sorted. The boat needs a lick of paint, but by the end of the trip if felt like home. Would book again in a flash.” Recommended for: Diving, food, staff.

Review: Jaya; Book: Jaya 9.1 Superb from £125; $158; €145
