Outstanding liveabord experience. The Whaleshark dive is right at the top, not only did it fulfill a tick on our bucket list, it was an experience of 30 odd minutes that normally only lasts 3 or 4. All dives for us offered something different and this is what we came to do – loved every minute. Diving always makes you hungry. The food on board was excellent at every mealtime and we were very well looked after. Diving makes you tired and our cabin was a comfortable, spacious and welcome retreat with perfect view.” Recommended for: The Diving and it’s very organised set-up, food and cabin comfort, friendliness of the staff and crew.

Review: MV Carpe Novo; Book: MV Carpe Novo 9.1 Superb from £195; $246; €226

The best diving experience so far with amazing food, staff and guides. Saw everything I wanted – Mantas, Sharks(white tip, black tip, grey and silver), Whale shark, Eagle rays, Schools of Baracudas, j. Best diving so far. Great food and a small group size of 11 people in our trip. It was a all Nitrox boat with amazing guides. Special shout out to Alan who helped us see amazing stuff plus improved our diving. Also, shout out to Chandana, who was an amazing bartender and a great human being. My wife had a birthday and the whole crew made it so special! there was a cake plus Alan had a card 30mts underwater and the crew made a heart with the towels – touched. The food on the boat by the chef Baby Anthony and his assitance was amazing and was definitely a highlight. Lastly, big hug to Ripon, the guy for everything – captain, guide, friend.. Overall Had the best vacation ever.” Recommended for: The guest size, dives, food and crew. Loved the boat interiors as well.

Review: MV Ocean Divine; Book: MV Ocean Divine 9.1 Superb from £143; $180; €166

Great diving, friendly staff, and nice boat! Snorkeling in Hanifaru Bay with ~10 mantas. Night snorkeling with whaleshark feeding off the back of the boat (attracted by night light). Diving with whitetip sharks in Helengeli Thila (channel dive, strong current). The food was good and plentiful. Diving was relaxed (3 dives/day). On my trip, there were only 7 divers total (the boat supports up to 18), so there was plenty of space. But the common areas are large, so it wouldn’t have been an issue anyway. Diving off a doni (second boat) meant that the main boat wasn’t cluttered with drying gear etc.” Recommended for: Diving with mantas and whaleshark, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff.

Review: MV Princess Haseena; Book: MV Princess Haseena 9 Superb from £284; $364; €332

Brilliant dive trip, led by wonderful guides, very comfortable boat and great food! The sunset night dive with the large number of Nurse and other sharks. Sting Ray City was amazing, as was the Manta Ray dive. Personally, i would have liked to have had the option for more night dives. The boat was really spacious and very clean, the food plentiful and varied, the crew were very friendly and helpful. Ali and Coco were really patient and great dive guides. Boat crew very helpful with equipment when needed. Wonderful trip!” Recommended for: The marine life, the crew and the food, especially the maldivian dishes!

Review: Nautilus Two; Book: Nautilus Two 9 Superb from £153; $193; €177

Magical Experience with Mantas. Amazing experience onboard with the team of the Maldives Aggressor. The boat was well maintained, the cabins spacious and the service thoughtful and friendly. The dives were well planned and underwater, the dive masters took care of the guests in terms of spotting creatures big and small and ensured all guests had a wonderful and safe time. The diving was very good with a variety of pelegics including manta rays, eagle rays, reef sharks spotted on nearly every dive as well as plenty of colorful reef fish of different varieties. A magical exprience with plenty of highlights that guests will remember for a long time!Recommended for: Crew, Diving, Pelegics.

Review: MV Maldives Aggressor II; Book: MV Maldives Aggressor II 9 Fabulous from £226; $285; €262

Great dives around the classic central atolls route. Saw everything and more than we expected!” The local dive guides knew the sites very well and done very well to keep us diving away from other boats (some popular sites could see up to 8 boats diving). We saw a whale shark at Dhangetti, manta rays at two cleaning stations, guitar, reef, black and white tips and nurse sharks on other dive sites as well as a tiger shark out in the blue at fish tabk. The nurse shark dive at alimatha was insanely good. The nurse sharks also stayed at the back of the boat all night whilst we ate dinner and into the next morning and you could jump in and snorkel if you liked. We dives with 100’s of stingrays, bull rays and even came across a mobula during a safety stop. For me the bbq and football on the uninhabited island meerufenfushi was magical, watching the sunset and then the sky fill with stars and watching shooting stars rain down as we took the zodiak back to the boat. Would like to see the boat lessen its environmental impact. They’re a bit behind some of the more expensive boats in terms of measures in place to offset customers impact. There is apetite for it from all divers. Overall a fantastic trip, the variety meant it was more an adventure than just a dive trip and I couldn’t have asked for more in that respect.” Recommended for: Dive guides, dive sites, friendly crew.

Review: MV Conte Max; Book: MV Conte Max 9 Fabulous from £125; $158; €145

Great dives and value! The diving was more advanced than I expected (I only have 30 logged dives) and the food was better. We had a great time. Do note that the seas and currents can be pretty rough in the Maldives (depending on the time of the year). But I would definitely recommend the Maldives and the Carpe Diem to my diving friends!Recommended for: Great diving, food and value for money.

Review: MV Carpe Diem; Book: MV Carpe Diem 8.9 Fabulous from £157; $198; €182
