      “Great and well run fuss-free dive safari for more experienced divers. A Russian company (so expect a lot of Russians) it was a refreshing experience for a more adult diving crowd. Not too many rules or hand-holding, people left to their own devices and a great atmosphere in the evenings. Really good food and lots and lots of it, great diving conditions and good guides, good value for money and if you know how to dive already this is a great trip and company to do it with.” Recommended for: Crew hospitality, safari director, dive timetable.

      “We had a beautiful safari at a fair price with an incredibly friendly, competent and helpful crew, along with the great food, fie us the really small cabins next door. 2x we were lucky enough to be able to “play” with dolphins under water. The Thistlegorm – a great wreck, mega dive site, you have to see it. The sights, the crew and the fabulous food (although there was no beach BBQ as described by Liverboard) and the really reasonable price make us recommend this boat without reservation. You only have to be able to turn a blind eye to the very small and somewhat stuffy cabins. If you don’t expect a luxury bedroom but value friendliness and great dives, you’ve come to the right place. We had 2 guides on board with 14 divers. That was okay. With full occupancy, however, the groups would be too large for me with 10 divers per guide.” Recommended for: Thistlegorm, Dolphins, Spanish Dancers at night.

      “Wir hatten eine schöne Safari zu einem fairen Preis mit einer unglaublich freundlichen, kompetenten und hilfsbereiten Crew fie uns zusammen mit dem tollen Essen die wirklich kleinen Kabinen nebensächl. 2x hatten wir das Glück mit Delfinen unter Wasser regelrecht “spielen” zu können. Die Thistlegorm – ein tolles Wrack, mega Tauchplatz, muss man gesehen haben. Das Gesehene, die Mannschaft und das fabelhafte Essen (auch wenn es kein Beach-BBQ gab wie von Liverboard beschrieben) und der wirklich günstige Preis lässt uns dieses Boot uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Lediglich bei den sehr kleinen und etwas miefigen Kabinen muss man ein Auge zudrücken können. Wer kein Luxus-Schlafgemach erwartet sondern Wert auf Freundlichkeit und tolle Tauchgänge legt, der ist hier richtig. Wir hatten 2 Guides an Bord bei 14 Tauchern. Das war ok. Bei voller Belegung wären mir aber mit 10 Tauchern pro Guide die Gruppen zu gross.” Recommended for: Thistlegorm, Delfine, Spanish Dancer bei Nacht.

He attained his Diver Leader certification with BSAC. He then went on to become a scuba diving instructor, teaching others how to dive and was voted as Diving Officer and Treasurer for the Saffron Walden BSAC club too. Russell has dived all over the world, including the UK, on liveaboards in the Red Sea, the Caribbean, South Africa and the USA. Russell is experienced in all dive types, including drift diving, deep dives that involved decompression stops and recreational dives too.
