I would say one of the biggest mistakes that beginner scuba divers make is to rush their training. There are too many beginner divers who want to go deeper before they are ready and built up the necessary experience.
But this is a mistake. Never underestimate the dangers of scuba diving. It’s always a good idea to take things slowly.
Build-up your experience slowly, but surely. Limit your depth to either 18 metres or 20 metres, depending on which scuba diving organisation you trained with.
Dive at least twenty dives, before you progress to the next level.
Get comfortable in the water and using your equipment. Always remember it’s not a race.
